PROCEDURE FOR MASTERCARD SECURECODE

 

Pre requisite:

 

Vijaya Bank Credit Card Holder has to register his/her Mobile number/Email with Card Division, Head Office. If not registered, kindly contact your card issuing branch to register it.



New User - Web Registration

Card holder has to visit our bank website www.vijayabank.com ? Card Services? Verified by Visa / MasterCard SecureCode? Click Here to Register? New User

1.    Cardholder enters his card details

2.    On successful verification of cardholder’s card details, cardholder is requested to select his preferred option for receiving OTP out of the available options.
The options available for the cardholder are
(i)    Mobile number and Email
(ii)    Mobile number
(iii)    Mobile number/Email does not match, I will register later

3.    The cardholder is shown on which Mobile number and Email the OTP is sent. The Mobile number and Email will be in the masked format

4.    If the cardholder selects (i) option, then he receives OTP on both Mobile number and Email. If he selects (ii) option, then he receives OTP on Mobile number only. In case he selects (iii) option, he will be asked to contact bank to update his contact details

5.    Once the cardholder checks either (i) or (ii) option from the above mentioned options, he will be directed to a page where he has to key in the OTP. Once the cardholder enters the correct OTP, he will be asked to fill in his personal details. He will also choose his/her static password and personal assurance message here

6.    Once the cardholder fills in all the details and click on “Submit” button, the cardholder is Successfully registered for Verified by Visa / MasterCard Secure Code

7.    Please note that the cardholder will be using static password for login into the profile website.

Forgot Password – Existing User

1.    Cardholder enters his card details

2.    On successful verification of cardholder’s card details, cardholder is requested to select his preferred option for receiving OTP out of the available options. The options available for the cardholder are
(i)    Mobile number and Email
(ii)    Mobile number
(iii)    Mobile number/Email does not match, I will register later

3.    The cardholder is shown on which Mobile number/Email the OTP is sent. The Mobile number and Email will be in the masked format

4.    If the cardholder selects (i) option, then he receives OTP on both Mobile number/Email. If he selects (ii) option, then he receives OTP on Mobile number only. In case he selects (iii) option, he will be asked to contact bank to update his contact details

5.    If the cardholder’s Mobile number registered with the bank is of J and K circle, he will receive a Voice OTP (where he will receive a call and OTP message will be spoken out). If the cardholder’s Mobile number registered with the bank is not from J and K circle, he will receive an OTP over the message

6.    Once the cardholder checks either (i) or (ii) option from the above mentioned options, he will be directed to a page where he has to key in the OTP. Once the OTP is correctly entered and validated, he will be asked to choose a new password

7.    Once the cardholder chooses the new password and clicks on submit button, the password of cardholder is successfully reset.

8.    Please note that the cardholder will be using static password for login into the profile website.

Authentication during Transaction – Existing User

1.    Cardholder logins to the merchant website to purchase an item

2.    When the cardholder clicks checkout/Clicks on PAY NOW, the customer is directed to the Payment Gateway (PG)

3.    Cardholder is directed to a page where he has to enter the static password and OTP

4.    OTP will be sent to the card holder’s registered Mobile number/Email

5.    After Card holder enters the correct OTP and static password, the cardholder is successfully authenticated

6.    If the cardholder keys in wrong OTP/Static Password for three consecutive times for the same transaction, the card will be blocked immediately for internet transactions only. NOTE: In case of update of Mobile number/Email, Card holder has to send the new Mobile number/Email through the issuing branch to Card Division. It takes maximum of 2 working days to update the details after receiving the Mobile number/Email intimation from branch.
